Reviews for "The Infected"

I absolutely love this game.
- Great time killer
- Has a real challenge while not being not too hard or too easy either
- No noticeable bugs encountered so far aside from hitbox issues

Perhaps one thing you can add is a save feature somehow, so that if don't manage to finish the game, we can go back later and continue from where we left off.
Also, maybe you can improve the hitboxes of obstacles such as walls or boxes as it is possible for either the enemies or myself would get stuck you would have to move back/away form the object to free yourself. Perhaps you can make the hitboxes smaller?

I believe this game has good potential if you listen to the right negative and positive responses. Keep updating this and I will be sure to come back here time and time again to play this game.

Thanks so much! glad you liked the game. I will definitely keep updating

Good Work, the graphics is 'cool' for a flash game, The story is 3.5, I almost did not find bugs.

Neat game, liked it. Had just enough difficulty and challenge to make it worthwhile!
Would be better if there was an option for H2H fighting in it though.

Neat but annoying collision detection: If you hold right and down key at the same time, and hit a wall on the right, it should still move you down, not stop. Collision should be independent in x and y axis, else it feels very influent

I agree with most of what was said before: The collision detection is spotty and the AI was boilerplate, the ammo headache, etc. I will not expand on those things; others have made the points adequately already.

However there I rather liked the feature where the game prevents you from picking up items/health when you're full already. I've seen it in other games but I appreciated the added touch of graying out the item's icon on the screen when they are full. It made it a little easier to keep track of what I needed.

One thing that struck me as unneeded was the shift to run. I found myself just holding the shift down as par for the course. It would have been perhaps better or more streamlined to just have your avatar move at the run speed as default. Perhaps a stamina mechanic to give a reason to decide to walk or run?

The game was playable if a little glitchy at points. The level design was uninspired but it got the job done. This seems like a beginner's offering. I'm not going to mark you off for that, everyone has to start somewhere.

Normally I would call this a 2.5 star game, but the atmospheric music is worth half a star, and I'm going to grade on a curve because I'm not expecting a magnum opus. We'll call it 3.5 stars. Not a stellar game, but a promising start.

BTCGamer responds:

Thanks for the suggestions. I definitely still have some work to do. Hope you enjoyed the game!
