The art style and music you chose to present the subjects in hand fit in a perfect synthesis, making the viewer immersed with every frame, kindled with thought and reflection. i cannot hold any higher regard for your artistic abilities to mould and visualize concepts into reality.
The issues are presented metaphorically in a manner that is comprehensible yet still incites us to think of the meaning. Basically making us think but not beating around the bush; we all know what are the subjects most of the time during the video and i find this essential for discourse.
Yet, I'm having trouble understanding the significance the video tries to contribute.
In the aspect of innovation, I find the artistic means and analogies you used to be clichéd. The general public is aware of these problems for a long time, while the "masking" of the face and the "gluttony" for money are known metaphors in the world of criticizing art for just as long.
Which makes me raise the question, what is the message you try to convey?
Everything has already been said, and not only that but in the same manner countless times before. Hence repetition of criticism, even if done beautifully, is as valuable and influential as any other said before. While empirically seeing no change in the state of things from the former, deduction can be made for this one as well, stamping 'null' on its impact.
If only there was any solution, a bright path from this quagmire in this shown world would I find this video impactful, thus raising above "just" pretty. While the ending seems all good and dandy, I find it to be a revelation of the change, but not its means or a solution in any way. only was it depicted as an awakening and surfacing beyond, "fighting the dragon".
but such outcome is one of two already obvious endings, stagnation or change. yet again as said "nothing new under the sun".
