Well that was fun. :) Wonder whatever happened to that final deal though, five minutes is a lot of time if authorities are rushing in, ready to apprehend two easily identified drug-dealing/beaing dealt suspects... this one wasn't as psychedelic overall, as earlier, but you do recognize GoodL easily! Good stuff all.

FlowDownStream responds:

Thanks so much for contributing! I'm honoured to have you in the episode :) I'm also really glad you were happy with how the episode turned out, your reviews always make my day.

I didn't know what to think at first but it all kind of went well together.

The first one was quite interesting as it almost seemed like a video on how people with anxiety must feel like.
I wasn't a big fan of how the pupil was animated in it; as pupils are normally quite snappy and it felt odd that it was always shaking.

Overall great work on this project and keep making interesting stuff

FlowDownStream responds:

Thanks for the review! I definitely see your point about the way I animated the pupils. i was trying to imitate that snappiness but it didn't turn out more just as shakiness.
Thanks for the stars, and you can be sure we'll keep doing what we're doing. :)

Didn't really stick to the theme all that much. It was also a bit too comedic. The way things started out, I thought it was gonna be all dystopian and stuff. I didn't understand what that guy said in the love action segment. His voice was a bit too robotic. The first segment was interesting but also a bit unclear. Why was the guy weirdly walking back and forth in the hallway? Was he trying to get out of the sight of the eyes? Also, is removing all the window curtains and things so the eyes are visible something people are obligated to do? His expression was pretty emotionless so you couldn't really tell. I do like that the eyes were constantly following him, that looked cool, especially in the hallway. I guess the one at the train station is kinda funny. The OJ Simpson one also made sense and was connected to the theme. The one with the little clay guys didn't really have anything to do with the theme, it wasn't government surveillance. Some of the voice lines were a bit hard to understand but I liked the idea. The one with the student guy in paper scribble form also didn't connect to the theme. I think my favorite segment was the O.J. Simpson one because it was the funniest( and it's catchy). I liked the one with the drug dealer, it was both funny and connected to the theme well. It was a pretty funny sketch show, but it just didn't answer the theme the way I expected. Also, are a lot of you Serbian? Because there were lots of Serbian references and I'm pretty sure the guys who didn't get the title were speaking Serbian.

FlowDownStream responds:

Hey, thank you for the in-depth review, it's very appreciated! FlowDownStream does not have much in the way of strict rules, and as such we do expect some amount of deviation from the theme when all of our team members put in their clips for the episode. I should also point out that the theme of the episode is "Privacy" not "Surveillance" although I will admit that both of my clips are definitely taking the surveillance side of things. Two of the people working on this episode are indeed Serbian, one of which being the director of this episode. Thanks again for the review, and for the stars.

A strong dose of comedy mixed with a heavy load of reality made this comp a masterpiece. Privacy was inevitably my favorite piece having set the stage for the theme so well with it's not so subtle name and message but I fully enjoyed every portion.

FlowDownStream responds:

Thanks so much! We really appreciate your kind review, and we're glad you enjoyed the show!

The animated parts were good. The puppet part was stupid, sorry. There was entirely too much real life stuff in this. The phone call slow, and got old real quick, with no real punchline at the end. The person at the end was too quiet/distorted to hear, but it was real life video, and so all in all, I didn't care anymore.

Basically, do more animation and stop motion, because you do that well, but the rest should be avoided.

FlowDownStream responds:

Hey there, thanks for the review!
We're sorry you feel that way about the episode, maybe try one of the others a go?
More animation in those, for sure.

We feel that our episodes are at their best when our team feels free to express themselves how they choose, including in terms of the medium(s) we use. I’m honestly not surprised to hear a strict “animation-only” philosophy coming from a long time user of Newgrounds, so all I will say is that I disagree, and apparently so does the majority of Newgrounds. Choosing to limit the mediums we use (not just at FlowDownStream, but the site as a whole) will only stifle innovation and kill community progress.

In any case, I do appreciate the review as it is never a bad thing to hear differing perspectives. Thanks for taking the time.
