Reviews for "Forest Floor"

cant enter the house on day 4

Nice game! I'd love to see its concept expanded. Maybe in a longer game, with sound effects, a background story, etc.
Very good job!

(p.s.: note for the upgrade maniacs: resources don't respawn during a level. Before upgrading, check if you'll have enough resources to finish the level afterwards. A couple of time I rushed to upgrade, and ended up failing the level for not having enough resources left.)

quite a funny game

what I liked:

- the consept it self is cool. you have ressources to find so you can use them for your house
or for upgrades but you must do that before the night get upon you.

- the presence of collectibles that gives you useful passives was cool.

- the ennemi are various and have their own strategy to kill you (follower, sentinel, berserk,
coward shooter, ect) and there are even traps and mud to make it more challenging

what I think you could improove for your future games :

- add a story, even basic like "Hi ! I'm Tonny and I wanna built my house. can you help me?".
this is not a big problem for that kind of game. It's just a plus to make your game more alive.

- give some evolution to the game. something that keeps people intrested of the game is
diversity. you have it but we have seen everything you propose in the first days and the rest
is just a bigger version of what you already know. what you could have done to correct this
problem is introduce a new trap/ennemi/obstacle each day

- add some sounds and music. if you want for the music, you can use free-right music tracks
like the music from Kevin Mcleod and for the sound effects, you can go on freesound.org .
this is a easy way to have the sound for your game easily. but without any sound, we loose
a lot of immersion.

even with those little problems, the game still fun to play. good job.

Just another problem but I think it's a bug: each time I died, the mobs continue to level up and I had too restart the game becaus every mob oneshoted me a even a bunny took 10 hit to die. maybe you should just correct that.

Easy to understand and get into, good concept, holds attention. Mostly held back from a higher score due to the combat and movement. Enemies are small, character's weapon arc is small, controls are super sensitive, and enemies get knocked back when hit so you have to get in position again. I found myself more often than not running into enemies and taking damage just to get close enough to hit them.

This game's a lot of fun, and the concept is pretty neat,
BUUUT it only gets 3 Stars, because the graphics are a lil' ugly, and the lack of sound effects drives me macademia NUTS.
