Reviews for "Fatal Portrait"

Lets take a walk down the hallway
It's a long way it, it takes all day!

A sad and scary story was told here, I like it. I t makes me think of other artist that put their pain in their works.

Really cool story.
Kind of sad, but good.

The character design and art style looked a bit "stretched out" and "exaggerated".
I enjoyed this though.

Though Im not a fan of the art style itself, a brilliant Idea which you've put to use. At first I assumed it would be something rather metaphorical relating to someone's PTSD. But then I see a physical manifestation of that "Symptom" and well, being trapped in guilt in misery in the form of a painting. A highly unanticipated twist, overall me giving you 9/10.

REALLY solid twist on a classic idea. I appreciate how the two versions of each painting are subtly different but work on their own. I can imagine another victim coming it and seeing something completely different from the same portraits.

Technical issues-

Everything was too cluttered. Visual detail is nice as long as the viewer can always INSTANTLY tell where the subject of the shot is.

Her shadow was white when the lightning flashed? Her shadow would be darker (or the same) and everything around it would be white.

When the camera is supposed to be moving through the scene, it just looked like the background plate was getting bigger. To sell the illusion, make it subtler and put a fish eye effect on the image. That way the center and edges of the frame move closer to the speed at which they would move in camera footage or the human eye (the center of our vision is less warped than the corners). OR you could build the scene with 3D or 2.5D and use that as a reference.
