Reviews for "A Missing Moon"

Great game but I honestly do not know how to use the key! The game doesn't tell you how and when you try, it only responds with "the door is locked", and the key is CLEARLY in my inventory! Please tell me how because I want to enjoy the rest of this game but the one thing that's in my way is a door all because the game does not tell you how to use the key! Sorry if I sound mad I'm just unable to finish this game unless I know what to do.

you use the key on the window, not the door

I liked it.

Pros:
- thought the graphics were cute (I kept seeing the hair bow as a hat though)
- music was pleasant, fit the atmosphere, and did not get repetitive for me
- the animal spirits was an awesome touch
- the emoji and server puzzles were easy, but the clues were given in a cool way

Cons:
- Was the moon drawing a red herring?
- ending was a little anticlimactic
- a little too easy
- a little too short (but I understand how much work goes into games like this)

And while it took me awhile to get used to the controls, once I did everything was fine (I also did not have issues with jumping the platforms, once I figured out the jump mechanic).

All in all, a cute game, and glad I played it. Would like to see more point-n-click games like this.

Cute game, I really like the story and the graphics. Interesting and not too difficult to figure out. What bothered me though, was how slow Isolde is. Given the fact that you need to revisit spaces it quickly got annoying. The bad jump mechanics were already mentioned in earlier reviews, had the game been any longer, I would have given up.

I love the storybook concept, and especially enjoy the look. Reminds me of "Monument Valley." This has a lot of potential! However, the movement mechanics and the story progression need improvement. The mechanics of the stairs (I'm on a keyboard) are unnecessarily difficult to navigate. Isolde keeps falling off the stair, as she's approaching the end of it, to jump. Also, when standing on the left side of the stoop (the satellite dish for instance), you can't jump the distance, but you also can't see the stair below, that you need to jump to. The placement of the stairs also makes it common to fall, floor after floor. The other problem is with story progress. There's also way too much down-time spent running and jumping to get to the next task. I tried to stick it out, but I am quitting on the game after having gotten both parents to the roof, and no idea what to do next. My inventory is empty, the server crashing boxes don't have effect on or off, and I clicked every interactive. Good luck on the next iteration!

Could use a little fine tuning, like spellcheck. Was enjoying the social commentary on parenting techniques, then got thrown for a loop when it turned into a platformer. I have the agility of a blind whale so it took me longer than I care to admit to navigate the jumping aspect. I liked the scale of her vs the endless void of the night on the roof. I got to trying to feed the mouse and everything froze.
