Reviews for "Burrito Bash!"

Gameplay is fun, isometric graphics are nice and music is ok. I appreciate the 3d mechanics like that you can jump over the rats but chefs are like towers that catch you in air.

I wouldn't say I enjoyed the foodie theme trough, never have identified as a bread roll wanting to become a burito.

Instructions could have been better, it took me a long time to realize in level 8 that I must deliver food in two trips because they are separate orders. The rotting mechanics was also somthing not explained.

The star awards at end of levels seemed o be unfinished design, all the levels gave me 3 stars no matter how quick or slow I completed them, only the level 12 always gives 1 star for some reason.

interesting game not hard to get a grasp of, can be challenging, the art style is unique and so is the game for having an expiration on the ingredients required for the order overall not bad and a good time killer

Fun game! The mmmm sound at the end of each level is very satisfying :) Might be nice to have a short tutorial though explaining how many ingredients are required to complete an order, or have a number over the ingredient to explain this. Otherwise, great game!

Given the perspective, it would have been nice if the tortilla had a drop shadow directly below you so it's always clear where you are in relation to the other elements in 3D space. It would also help to tell exactly when you can dash because it seems you can only dash while on the ground. It works nicely for the falling food so the same idea should apply.

The food goes bad rather quickly after landing which means I have to sit around and wait for it to despawn and then collect after another one has fallen. That is time you're forcing me to just wait which matters because there is time pressure. On top of that, it doesn't seem there is a safe way to drop food so that it doesn't go bad so quickly. Removing the "food going bad" mechanic and instead scoring the player on how quickly they complete the entire challenge would have been a good way to encourage the player to roll around fast and have fun with the motion.

I wouldn't say it's difficult to control, but maybe some levels could have been designed in a way that suits the motion better. In particular, level 13 took a couple of attempts to jump that first gap because the jump is so powerful that it is easy to overshoot the platform to land on. I would suggest giving more room to slow down or just place a wall that forces you to stop. Requiring a precise jump like that isn't quite fair when the mechanics don't feel so precise either.

The theme is great. Light-hearted, quirky and funny. How many games let you roll around as a tortilla? The audio and the visuals work to achieve this. The 3D visuals are a little basic but I liked a lot of the hand-drawn 2D art with regard to the light-hearted theme.

Overall, this game is enjoyable but there are definitely a few small details that could have been changed for largely positive effect. There is room for improvement but, it was worth my time playing this.

definitely an interesting and entertaining game to play :) it's really innovative and unique!
