Needs upgrades, and simple fun game.

We know, this still on development
Please understand :P

What is there to say about this game other than it's rather simple. That doesn't mean that this review is done. I mean, just look at it. A long review for a simple game, but I like to go in depth, so lets do just that.

So the controls are simple, click to jump. Yes, the instructions say "tap" but that's because this is supposed to be a mobile game that the devs were so kind to give us a preview of. As stated in the description, quote, "This is just a sneak peek of our first mobile game". So for what's going on here, I actually like the idea.

Second is the mechanics. You may be wondering, "If I jump on the gears, I don't collect them. What's the issue here?" The issue is that you have to click while hovering on the gears to collect and jump on them. The more you collect and jump on, the higher you go, the harder they are to nab, the more frequent they become, and the faster they fly, adding more challenge even though there are more you can get. There are also powerups strewn about the game. One gives you a super jump, one gives you a slow descent allowing you to stay in the air for longer periods of time, and one turns the objects red. What that does, I'm not entirely sure. Another one makes it so when you jump on the stars, it creates like a small radial explosion, but as far as that things purpose goes, again, I don't know. Perhaps these will be expanded upon.

One thing I find unclear is the point system and how it works. You can rack up a good combo, getting point and flying up into the air and through the game, but your points don't go up with how many things you collect. They seem to go up I think with distance. However, if that were the case, then it would simply be just a SCORE, and not have the little star symbols. The star symbols with the increasing score would lead you to think, "The more of these I get, the better the score." This isn't the case. At least, that's what I'm gathering. *LATE DISCLAIMER* Anything I say here I can be totally wrong about. This is what I gathered and understood as I played the game. So please, be aware that I could be misunderstanding something.

One thing I found a bit off is the hitbox. As I play this, I start to get the feeling that the hitbox is rather inconsistent relative to both the player and the stars. For instance, one run, I got a power up that launched me in the air, and as I was falling, there was a star below me, and when I clicked, visibly on the screen, the board and my character were above the star, but it registered as a viable gather and allowed me to progress. My only explanation for this is the hitbox adjusts in a buffer, and thus sometimes it's ahead or behind you depending on how fast you go. Not entirely sure, but please, read the late disclaimer again because I could be TOTALLY wrong. And that's okay! This is just my opinion anyway.

This is definitely a fun score buster game, where you set a challenge for yourself to beat your last score in either distance, height, or both. It's addictive, because it gives you that sense of, "I KNOW I can beat that! Let's go at it again!" and you either get better as you go along, or you get flustered and you start messing up because you're not focussing. Games that allow you to challenge yourself and are mainly score busters aren't my kind of style entirely, but that doesn't mean I'm going to hate on the game because it's not my thing. Besides, look at the review I gave it.

I think you guys have a lot of potential here with this, and I hope that when this app is released, it does well for you! I think this will grab the attention of a lot of people who want to challenge themselves and their friends! One thing I would recommend when this does become an app is a highscore system, where you can see what your last best run was. That will surely entice the player to play more so they can beat that score and set a NEW goal for themselves!

Good game! Hope this gets good attention when it hits app stores!

Thank you so much for the review! i´ll try to answer it, but english is not my mother languaje so forgive me if sometimes im not very clear.

The powerups is a difficult issue, its hard to comunicate the without adding a tutorial for each one, i think in the near futurue we are gonna adress that, when stars go red they give you more points, the radial effect ( i think you are talking about the red powerup) makes your area or reach bigger.

About the score, is not working as it should, i made some changes there so i surely broke something

And about the hitbox issue, as long as you are above a star you should be able to jump on it, knowing when you are able to jump is very hard to comunicate, the stars spin faster and the become bigger, but is hard to see most of the times.

Thank you very much!!

I hope you still around, id like to read your opinion as the game evolves, so please check our social networks!

As ZakDragon said ... otherwise very nice!

Great idea!

Nice game!
