A clever parody bringing to light something people don't seem to talk about a lot.... the notion that if things are bad enough, people are apt to just wish for the whole world to end and that would make things so much easier. It is usually the super-religious who are most obvious about holding this view, and that's why they should never be put in charge of anything, they'll throw it all away in anticipation of armageddon and then they won't even have the decency to get the job done properly and destroy the world, we'll just be left with a big mess. Of course you don't have to be religious to wish a damn asteroid would hurry up and plow into the damn Earth. I count myself among those ranks.
