Reviews for "Virtual Journalist"

Sad... But True.

The Government has raped the media and left it for dead. though they have passed no laws (or at least kept them around *thanks to the Supreme Court*)that hamper the Media's ability to speak the truth, they have established bogus standards and practices that basically says "if you talk shit about us, you're gonna get canned!" In our local paper, when one of our columnists disses the local COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM it's considered risky and people seem shocked at whats nothing more than pointing out some severe flwas to our state's priorities.

That's why i'm going to be a comedian when i'm older. stand-up comics are allowed to comment on ANYTHING they feel like beating on. they express their views more freely than some guy with a "Go Iraq!" bumber sticker on his truck. Comedians comment on society, the economy, and even our President himself (i'm referring of course, to Dick Cheney). So that's my reason why i'll never be a jounalist.

FreshLaundry responds:

Bill Maher is a comedian - a comedian who had a show called 'Politically Incorrect' which, surprise, was intended to be politically incorrect!

But when he said it isn't accurate to call the terrorists who flew the plane 'cowards', and that people who launch missles with the push of a button are more cowardly, his advertisers pulled the funding for his show, the studio made him apologize, and he got cancelled. Be careful.

honesty sucks

magazine writer here.....good job making this...i hate reading about how shitty things are....wish i could remember how i used to think as a kid, ignorance was so easy...

I totally agree.

to say that I liked this game would be a gross misunderstatement. though the graphics sucked and theere was little interavtivity, the message was strong clear and verifiable(because it comes from one of the very ppl it exposes) I don't blame you for being a writer for a corporate newspaper. you need your food, just like the game mentioned. but to be working for a company that only lets you say what they want you to say is a great shame and disgrace to the constitution this country holds in such high regard.shame on america, shame on the constitution, shame on the corporate media. my hat, however, goes off to you.

Very Original!

Great Idea! You've really though well about this. I like the president bit and think the movie at the end is quality. Keep it up dude!

This is absolute

Although the press is legaly free, the reporters are, indeed, bound by what the papers corporate sponsord want to hear. "One is not more free than he who has nothing to lose". Or, in other words, start a web newspaper. I, personaly, have nothing to lose. No one is sponsoring my site. So why can't I do what I want with it?
