Another fine piece maestro!!!

Hey Maestro :) just doing the rounds, thought I'd stop by and see what's new!

I remember you saying in responce to the last review I gave you, something along the lines of being stuck with the same style and methods.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this to me sounds like you're using different methods now!

This conjures up different emotions to some of your other pieces, it's a very hopeful piece, very uplifting. I feel anyway!

I can pick out an ambience playing in this tune, sounds like rain forest type ambience faint but it's there, I'm sure of it! grrr damn uncertainty >:( slap me if I'm wrong with that!

you've opted for, what sound like bongos which adds to the feel of this, kind of tribal but a different type of tribal vibe. I'm possibly still swayed by that ambience, it's bugging me I'm sure that's what can hear there.

Anyway, Maestro you have another excellent piece here, Thanks I don't know how many times this piece has played now, it's moving!

Peace Out!

Thanks for another listen

5/5

Stealth

p.s. if you can spare a moment, could you check out my recent submission

Thanks!

MaestroRage responds:

Hey Stealth. Sorry for the late response man, University has been bleeding me something fierce, and time... is well no longer something I can rely on having. In any case I do appreciate you dropping a review.

Those are crickets in the ambiance. They get fainter and fainter to imply the passing of the night, into day. I personally love that effect, and I don't know why I don't use it as often (probably just to keep it something moving when I DO use it...)

As for styles, again you are right, but if you also notice, it's still epic. I am slowly trying to move onto something not epic at all. Maybe even something romantic!

Who knows, one day right?

In any case, i'm really glad you liked it, thank you for the review again, i'll drop by your page as soon as I can!!

Great composition again

Well... here we are again: listening to one of the newest great audio piece of the maestro...

The start blow me away - I loved the harp(?) sound. The next upcoming percussion brought some tribe-ish or native feel for it - an exotic land's picture came into my mind like the Aztec or Inca civilisation in it's glorious days with their temples striking the skies above the trees of the rain-forest.

The flutes(?) melody was really close to Vangelis - 1492 Soundtrack but still staied original. I think you tried to bring some native feelings to the track with the exotic sounding woodwinds - when yes, you made a great job with it.

Maybe there is only one small thing I would mention: as I could hear properly you used the same melody quite often. I mean there was a melody and you havent changed it, just varied it's structure or plaied on other instrument. Well it's not really a problem I think because the track is varied enough and don't become repetitive.

So impressive job again - congratulation!

P.S.: I've got some new stuff around. If you got some time drop some revs. Tnx!

MaestroRage responds:

Hmm, I was wondering if anybody would catch onto the chords and harp being pretty much the same.

To be honest, I started this piece with just the harp loop, then added a layer on it, then another... and another, and when those layers became too thick, I took them out, and started again. And then merged the layers together. The melody on top of the constant chords and harp does change, rather drastically at times to hide the chords, but they just worked so well I didn't have the heart to change them!

This is especially true when the quick strings come in, the oriental violin sound (it does sound like an exotic flute, but it's not), was just SO damn good hearing to me, I felt it was my DUTY to use it again XD.

I didn't hear Vangelis, but now I am quite curious. I will have to look into it one day.

The image you got, was also very very interesting. To live a life in the shoes of that boy... I went on and on with it for nearly an hour, then had to snap out of it to get some work done ;).

In any case, Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked the piece. I'll drop on by your page now.

The Kindly Dark Soul...

Hello MaestroRage or should I say "MaestroRage" now. (I know corny joke).

Like all of your other tracks this one is another MASTERPIECE of the depressed maestro.

I can't wait for your next Masterful Compostion.

MaestroRage responds:

I'm glad you liked it Wilber, it is true, most of these pieces are infused with a source of sorrow or anger I can't seem to eradicate. Maybe from lack of skill, maybe from lack of control, I don't know.

I'll be around for a long while, I hope you will be around to hear them, thank you for the review, once again i'm glad you liked it!

Well done...

Very good, as always Maestrow. I love the drums in the backround. To me the drums symbolize the beating of the land's heart as it sees it's master return. Birds and other animals come to the broken land as the master returns. They are waiting for him to grow food for them to eat. Another story. A young man returns from a long journey. He comes home to see that his farmland is broken and decayed. But he doesn't see despair. In the very middle of the fields he sees light shining down from the sky. And the light shines on the one green plant alive in the scarred land. A beautiful rose. The young man picks the rose carefully and sees animals coming, waiting for him to restore the land. The young man smiles and unloads his horse and gets to work. At the end of the piece with the gentle wind blowing the land is restored to even more beauty then before. Can you grow anything on scarred land? I don't think, I KNOW you can? Sound familiar? Heh...keep up the good work...

MaestroRage responds:

that line DOES sound so familiar, I feel like the memory is gonna pop up and scream "HERE I AM!!!!" but has yet to do so... man, now this is bugging me, where? I went on a review hunt, reading song descriptions, dozens of reviews, and pretty much reading your history, I must have missed it somewhere along the lines. The rose, immediately reminded me of my first submission Serenity In A Rose, but that was a bust, then the young man reminded me of While Heaven Burns in my MaestroSegments, but that too was a dead end, so if you could pm me and tell me where this is from, i'd much appreciate it, it's killing me inside X_x.

In any case Zen, your story is as usual quite fascinating. The image I had used was of a young child who wakes up in the slums of broken down city, sometime in the distant future, and he looks up to see the dawn slowly creeping out. The crickets begin to quiet their chirps and he smiles.

Today was a new day, and today would be his!

Once again thank you for the review and the story, along with the continued support, it means a great deal to me. I'm glad you enjoyed the piece ^^.

Excellent!

Man... Your like the best classical artists I know! this sounds really cool. I love the bongos and the strings and such. The trumpets gave the piece a happy feeling. The dynamics were really good. I hope to see more coming! Check out my song please! Thanks.

-Yogosun

MaestroRage responds:

I'm glad you find the pieces entertaining Yogosun. I try to instill a feeling or feeling with every piece, if you can create a story or image to these works, then thats all I can ask from them.

I'll check out your song the chance I get some free time, don't hesitate to pm me and ask me again, as I do forget sometimes!

Thank you for the review, once again i'm glad you liked it!
