Reviews for "Sanity Check: Chapter 1"

Meta comedy and fourth wall breaking can get super cringey when done wrong, but this is so well written it never felt like that at all. Found myself genuinely laughing out loud in parts, which is rare for a game. Even the corny lines were charming (the game is worth completing for the very last zinger alone). Gameplay was engaging and fairly well balanced, although did tend to lag a lot in the main dungeon area, so it loses half a star for that. I am genuinely excited for chapter 2 of this.

THAT WAS AMAZING, I truly love this great game, and better parody. All the hate about using stock resources must have missed the line where they directly point out that they are doing just that and it enhances the parody even more in my opinion. Great game, Great parody, and also ALL HAIL CH'TH'GOTTK!

Neat game. Writing is snarky and fantastic. To be honest, I really hate RPG Maker Games. The writing made me able to forgive that. Also, I liked that you were able to earn enemy attacks. It certainly through a wrench into the traditional progression systems. Hilarious that the manual pages all told you shit that, by then, you'd already figured out for yourself. So, based on your designs, I rate you 5 stars. I subtracted a star for RPG-Maker and unoriginal designs (animations and such that were stock for the medium). I hope you increase your skill repertoire as you continue to entertain the masses.

((By the way, you can use this as a stepping ladder of sorts to get into actual programming and coding. For the next step on this journey, I would recommend using Scratch. There's a bit more code and the like, but it's still very simplified.))

adoooooore the game. Little ticked i can't save though, i tried so hard urgh,,,, dang cu'th'gook or ehtever

The moment I saw generic RPG Maker main menu I was like, "I'm sold."

Ok, no, but seriously, this is a really great game. Dialog is pretty funny, and satire of RPG Maker games/creators is spot on. I only wish it was more stable, but I'm assuming that is probably RPG Maker MV's problem, not the creators fault.
