Omg had to go way back to this one you have the carpet in the ones after this but never us it
I got caught up flying a few times for fun.
I ahve to agree though could used the carpet to get over the lava.
Why not fly over the lava with the magic carpet?
Good game though I would like to say a couple of things:
1. It would be nice to see a potion recipe instead of learning the ingredients as I go
2. WHY DIDN'T A WIZARD BRING HIS WAND ON AN IMPORTANT QUEST!
So I had to go hungry to bed as I couldn't eat any of that chocolate cake!
I so love chocolate cake though!

Lol, kidding. Was a good solid game, as always. I like the wizard series as it got a bit more atmosphere and gives a sense of adventure.
