I know you think I'm subhuman or whatever but that aside I think that you're a talented dude, and I'd love to see you do more original stuff like this in the future (and less gamegrumpspokemonsonicdeadbeatenhorses). The animation's really smooth and fluid, and the shading added a lot of depth-- it's really apparent that you put a lot of work into the visuals and I can appreciate that. However my issue with the content itself is that it felt kind of...empty? It was really nice visually, but it lacked any real substance to make it memorable beyond just a smooth fight scene. Like, it was nice to observe but I felt no investment in anything that was going on, and the endjoke itself didn't really feel like a good enough payoff to justify all the buildup. Unless this was strictly an animation showcase, in which case ya nailed it. This might be nitpicky as well but from a film perspective the shot of his eyes widening should've had him positioned on the left rather than the right-- the audience typically associates something moving left to right with progression/moving towards something, whereas when the character is framed on the right side moving towards the left we get the impression he's returning back to where he began. Again, maybe that's a bit nitpicky, but personally I found that shot kind of jarring because of the choice in screen direction. But yeah It's good to see you doing some original stuff and I look forward to seeing some more developed work from you in the future!
