Reviews for "Abandoned 2016"

wow i'm glad after this one you lowered the cost of the orb.
This is jsut an asylum game called something else.
Except there were no ghost or ghouls
fav items for your games screwdriver lighter crowbar s and knife the first 2 show up all the time.

Hooray for trading orbs for stuff with the ghost in the dumpster! :-D

This type of games uses too many panels, IMO. You get lost, forget about small clickable items found 20 panels back, and some panels have almost nothing in them except for magic orbs. Speaking of orbs, 200 is waaaay too many; they're easy to find and you end up with lots to spare. There should be way less orbs, a bit harder to find, and items should cost less; the last teleporting item should cost the exact amount of the total of the orbs since it's not a vital item. Now, don't get me wrong, I liked the game, but as per usual for these games, I did need the walkthrough for very tiny details that I forgot way behind. Verdict: Good game, but the template should be changed for this type of game to be more enjoyable. Keep it up!

Scenes are dark, but I am not scared at all. There are 38 locations which means one has to spend a lot of time wandering and searching for an orbit container. Afterwards, you'll have to go through most rooms again and collect orbits for trading items in a shop. I found this a really clumsy task. And the empty book I got from the shop was literally useless. There were some missing pages one has to find. In order to see the covert clues, you'll need a pair of special glasses from the game.

Most puzzles are straightforward except the first one I encountered. The flashing red-blue symbols weren't made for normal human eye detection. They were played way too fast that I had to watch them over 10 times before I found out the correct sequence. Hint: bbrbrrbrb.

Nothing special about the sound effect.

Could have been spooky with the setting and even the artwork, but everything is so tiny and irksome and without the walkthrough I would never have been able to progress, just because the rooms are so numerous and it's so easy to miss things you need. Also, I somehow glitched the book so that one page disappeared and I was unable to complete the game. Checked the walkthrough again and saw the ending was just a text screen proclaiming "you escaped." Eh. I'll live without the badge, I guess.
