Reviews for "Metal Music Maker"

I'm sorry but this just doesn't seem to do anything. Further, there are no instructions provided whatsoever.

What do the sliders for the various instruments up top do?

What are you supposed to do at the bottom there? My assumption is it's supposed to be like guitar tab. But okay I put some numbers in there, I click on Play and nothing happens. No sounds. That red vertical bar very very very slowly advances to the right. Even if it was bad lag, still no sounds even when it crosses onto where numbers are.

And this is far too huge. Please consider not everyone uses a huge HDTV as their computer monitor.

In short, you need to provide better instructions, scale the size way down, and sound needs to work. I assume it works for you or others. It doesn't work for me or at least I can't figure it out.

Aye, sorry about my first response bud. Was having a bad day. I'll see what I can do. Would have been easier to look into if you had provided some specs or something.

the volume sliders are so stupid. a stretch of like 80% where it's silent then ramps up at the end. give me a break.

volume is not a hard problem but so many people seem to screw it up.

you obviously just used a stock volume control from whatever engine you made this thing in

larrynachos responds:

Tune all of the knobs down to 40 or 50. Can you still hear the music? Yup. The volume control parameter is linked to the audio in dbs and not a percentage.
Also, you're gonna judge a game by it's volume slider? I pity your thought process.

Took a look at your reviews, and it seems most of your arguments are unfounded drivel, so I'm not really worried.

It's like a very lame knockoff of Punkomatic. I have no beans with Punkomatic (2 especially has been used to do some very fantastic things).

This however...the rhythm and bass guitars use the same riffs, as do the low and high leads (and they have three fewer than the rhythm!); didn't even bother to look at the drums.

And much unlike punkomatic you can't interrupt a sample because one block equals one riff rather than having one riff extend over three, four, or even five blocks, which severely limits the sort of things you can do with the guitar samples you have here...

The weak-ass pop-shredder chords will get annoying to listen to very fast while you try to piece together a "heavy metal" song.

All in all it's an exceedingly subpar attempt at copying one of the better music toys on the net and Newgrounds does not benefit from having it.

larrynachos responds:

Cool

Think its broke, I keep pressing play and nothing's happening

larrynachos responds:

Yeah, me too :( I talked to Tom about it, sounds like it's something to do with browsers changing how they read html data. It wasn't anything too extraordinary, I highly recommend you play Punk O Matic

it doesnt work

larrynachos responds:

If you're on chrome, try a different browser. I think a while back chrome changed how html5 games are loaded because some of my old games stopped working properly. I got this one to work in Firefox last time I tried
