Reviews for "The Splitting: Chapter 1"

Really enjoyed it! Great setup/idea, relatively simple puzzles but not OBVIOUS puzzles. Big difference IMO. I actually would have enjoyed more story. I liked that he touched on some of the character's past but I felt like he could have had more

I was trying to remember what game this reminded me of, and then it hit me: Fran Bow. With the whole switching worlds thing, dialogue options, and combining items, this is almost exactly the same gameplay style as Fran Bow. However, the fact that this one is pixelated gives it an entirely different feel. Good job!

Success!

The whole series is phenomenal; never prior to these submissions in my entire life have I been amazed and excited by consecutive games in every means. A very original and multiply mind captivating story -to begin with-, which keeps spectators interested to the act to its last detail. Two (who will increase during the long journey that begins here) quite inviting, mysterious yet at the same point discoverable main characters in the forms and names of Daniel and llehctiM whose fates have been changing throughout the series; an enrapturing connection between two worlds, the "real" and the mirror ones which at first sight may be found similar, nonetheless differ in immessurable ways. Extemplary pleasant and not misunderstandable at all control settings which do not remove a single bit of pleasure from each submission. In addition to the latest statement, every interaction is set in brilliant fashion, improving the gameplay all the way long and helping it be much more accessible. And ultimately, all of the above are in company with not complicated lest nice graphics that may not consult the highest artistic style in video games, nevertheless they are also quite successful and fulfil their goal. To sum up, The Splitting Chapters have turned out to be a great success, even though many people seem to falsely rate them obnoxiously. They are among my all time favourite games. @Fireberrystudio are masters.

The Splitting: Chapter 1 really deserved a 10 for me since it was the maximum ranking ability offered, but I will lower my rating, because I cannot rate 10 a submission which contains a triple six in its link (๐Ÿ˜ž); still an extremely adequate submission for a perfect begin to the story telling and to introduce the characters.
[P.S.: I do not mention music in my review because it is always set off in my personal computer's system.]

Lots of fun, a little bit chilling, but not exactly horror inducing.

Also, I'm still not sure if I trust llehctiM. Although unlikely, it's possible that Mitchell has Situs Inversus (a benign condition where the internal organs are mirrored).
