Reviews for "Boreal"

Ooooh, I hope that this evolves beyond a concept demo...

Once the game is longer, I think you should add a "run" feature. If the slow walking is for creepiness or suspense, consider having some parts where walk speed/direction is fixed and others where movement is free and faster. At the current movement speed, I found myself wasting bullets out of pure boredom.

I also think it didn't make much sense when the snow blocked the entrance, but there was still light inside of the bunker. Maybe give the mysterious protagonist a flashlight and have him/her navigate in the pitch dark with only one beam of light (until the lights are turned on, anyway.)

Alx101 responds:

Alright, thanks for your review! The flashlight idea sounds awsome, definitely something I'll look into for the further development!

Good game man! I hope it becomes a full game very soon!
Btw, I'd put a "run" option... or at least, speed up the player's legs a bit... I know that the slow movement is made to add up to the creepy atmosphere, but sometimes it can be a little frustrating.

Alx101 responds:

Gotcha! Lot's of people have had come complaints about the movement speed of the character, so that's definitely something I'll be tweaking.

i enjoyed living the adventures of Mr. Maccaroni legs

Alx101 responds:

Hmm, new title maybe

Great graphics, just my taste. Nice gameplay, creepy vibes and interesting premise!
I'd love to see this becoming a full game!

Alx101 responds:

Awesome! I'm glad you like it. Thanks for your review!

It was super! I loved the atmosphere you created and the controls are easy to learn, effective and logic in the same time (I'm reffering to all those war games in wich the player can e.g. climb up a ladder and aim and shoot simultanusly). I was really thrilled because I don't usually like the "thriller" genre. movies, games, whatever, but this worked for me just fine! I 'm waiting for the rest of this project!!

Alx101 responds:

Great! Glad you liked it!
