Cute visuals, quick simple gameplay.
The controls are slightly slow to respond and the hitbox for the spikes is bigger than it looks, but that would only be frustrating if the game took longer than 80 seconds to beat.

The jumping physics are just outrageous. Which is what the game mostly is so I think you should put a little more control into how far you jump and in which direction.
It was a good first try, and a jumping land octopus is a interesting concept, but it lacks a lot to make it a good game.
It is quite challenging, but these levels should be in the last part of a larger game, so people get accustomed to the controls first through the easy first levels. If you don't have a startup screen available telling you the controls, then just put it in the authors comment section.
I think it would be best if you had a background to distract from the simplicity of it. If you animate the octopus when it is walking, that would be much better. A story and a ending would help it a lot as well.
I recommend using something else then spikes though, since walking into them sticking up would not make sense, perhaps thorns?
This game gave me cancer
