Reviews for "Launch"

Brilliant design, moving and emotional, the way it should be. Could You post the soundtrack?

zenygweny responds:

Thank you for your review! We really appreciate it! We're happy to hear that you received the effect we were going for! As for the soundtrack, I'll list all the songs that were used!

The Cosmos-Sirius Beat
Deep Space-Origin
Through the Ergosphere-Simon Wiklinson
Star Nomad-Thunderstep Music

big bs why does it keep reloading the same begin screen and the ending screens?

zenygweny responds:

Thank you for your review! The game was designed to be that way, much like the popular Newgrounds games, "One Chance" and "Only One Chance".

it was amazing, had a heartwrenching storyline and genrally amazing. well done GG

It's an interesting way to make people consider, and really think about "the path not taken."

It seems a shame that because of the time constraint, the absence of replay, and the lack of inst5ructions at the start further eating away at the time counter; that not all your story line can be appreciated and (or even completely heard.)

Personally, I'd allow for 2 extra play throughs. The first one really drives in the sense of every decision being final, and the half-hour commitment to a replay, just to get a sense of the overall storyline and artistic work, is enough "price" to pay for your choices.

I feel sorry for the people who chose the arc straight off, and didn't get most of the experience. Nor will they ever, unless they have a flash cookie editor.

Still, neat idea!

Powerful stuff. The lackluster VA was already mentioned, though that made sense considering you're likely operating on a shoestring budget. Honestly though, I'd rather the timer be lengthened by a bit, or shown in a hours/days format (the story development seems to take days, or atleast hours.)

The Soldier guy's message was chilling.

Logically speaking, there was only one choice: Launch all missles. If you can only save people at Ark Capacity, that's a 1/10 (or whatever number) versus, as that playing card guys put it, 1/2 chance of survival. The fact that pressing the button remains difficult speaks volume to your ability as a writer - or perhaps human's inability to shut up and multiply.

Personal bias, but I'd have liked it if the end card isn't there. Leaves us with a little uncertainty.
