Reviews for "Bittersweet"

Very great song love basically everything about it and about the Gd review you can set what time in the song you want it to start at :D

Noisysundae responds:

I see. I didn't play it and all GD levels I've seen start at the intro. Thanks for clearing it up and the compliment. :)

Wow! This is a very impressive song! I always enjoy listening to your music, and I am still in awe that you are able to master such beauty. Outstanding job!

Noisysundae responds:

Thanks man. Glad to know you ate other sundaes as well.

Mastering is pretty much non existent but the mixing is very balanced.
Nice arrangement and melodies. You could do with using more FX for the build ups and break downs rather than just a single crash cymbal.

The synths, I think they could do with compression on them AFTER the reverb. This will make the leads have full power when they are on, and then the reverb will be brought right up when they finish playing. This makes your synths sound enormous which is what this track could benefit from. It wouldn't cluster the mix with sidechaining on the drums.

Speaking about the drums, seriously need to work on them. They have absolutely no power in the mix (sidechaining would help), especially that snare. I don't agree with the choice of kick either, probably just needs another layer and I think cutting around 100hz on it would help too.

Noisysundae responds:

Haha. The only thing I did on mastering was sidechaining the bass with kick. I'm still not a pro at it so thanks a whole lot for the tips of compressions.

I already used a soft compression on the bass around 100Hz which is exactly where you pointed out. I guess I should have changed the samples. They're actually crappy and I tried to make them sound better. :P

That is not a drum n bass song this needs to be in an house genre :(
