Finally, something heartwarming about a dog where the dog doesn't die at the end. I'd love to see Stanley and the little boy's adventures trying to survive the zombie apocalypse as some sort of running series. Just... this was brilliant. If I could rate this six stars, I would.

Max Brooks rated the survival of small dogs in the zombie apocalypse to be rather high. Their ability to get around small places made their chance twice as much as a normal-sized dog, plus they could be trained to trip zombies up by hitting their knee pit.
This is a good depiction of a dog in the apocalypse, and it's a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming too.
