Theres a glitch in thsi game
So after i finish a game (kill the enemy commander), the game is freeze and i cant do anything but leave the batlle ????
Is it only me or someone else experiment this glitch as well ?
Btw, gg

Thunder-Hawk responds:

Hehe, the glitch means that you in fact reached a victory condition.

Equal parts wonderful and awful.

I adore it for it is very tactically inclined indeed, and a very good strategy game through and through; however, the harder difficulties you play on, the more and more a single battle (that you cannot restart) can hinge on a single movement, and time after time I lost the opportunity to wipe out an enemy force because instead of attacking, my soldiers just meandered on closer to them, for I happened to click the square next to them by accident, and couldn't undo it.

I find this incredibly odd; for you had the foresight to realize that losing in the major battles meant you lost entirely; so you allowed for players to leave those and restart as if they didn't happen; yet for battles wherein you could gain gold and experience, you did no such thing.

So your options, as a player, are: "Win every battle, and gain more experience and upgrades thereby" or "Lose, and with every battle you lose, the game becomes more and more frustrating".

The 'oops' is another awful thing. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic idea; because blunders naturally happen in real battles. However, there ought to be a likelihood of that sort of thing. For example, you have a greater chance of missing a turn if your men are walking on ground that doesn't suit them (I.E, heavy swordsmen, in full armour, would have a harder time walking through a jungle than, say, the light infantry). And again, on the harder difficulty you play, the more awful it becomes; since the less and less troops you have, the MORE and more vital each of their attacks and movements becomes; so when you have your men missing out on attack after attack (usually after bringing themselves right next to the enemy and within range of their arrows), you're more likely to lose; more likely to lose means less money and exp; less money and exp means worse troops; and worse troops means more likely to lose. It is a vicious circle that continues until you simply CANNOT win, for the enemy's forces are so great and elite that you get completely wiped away with them.

My verdict: High difficulties don't make the game more challenging, just more frustrating. Do yourself a favour and play on Normal.

This game is good as everything but as a strategy. This is NOT A STRATEGY. One of the most important part of the turn by turn strategy on the field consist of tiles is predictability. You can predict means you can plan.

In this game you can predict almost nothing. Starting from fact that you have no knowledge about enemy or even your own units (you know literaly nothing) and finishing with the all the random things that completely makes the battle - each attak can kill nothing or kill all the units in defending squad. My swordman sometimes endure like 3 turns under attacks of 3 enemy squads, and sometimes they dies instantly from the 1st attack. Continuing this list you can tell about no knowledge about the influence of your unit position over his benefits on the field (yes i've read the tips and i haven't found them influence the battle ... probably becouse the benefits are cunsumed by the ammount of random things affecting the result). I don't even know how and if my actions influence the ammount and type of forces i have in each battle. You can only guess looking on the units appearance and pray for better luck.

As result: I know and control almost nothing - i can't plan my actions or predict enemy actions - this is NOT A STRATEGY.
This is funny casual game filled with great atmosphere about colonists slashing the indeans. Or indeans slashing colonists ... you have no control over the things, just order your units to attack and enjoy unpredicteable slaughter.

Thunder-Hawk responds:

Just because you don't know how to control the game doesn't mean it's unpredictable. I am even not sure if the two of us are speaking about the same game, because the info is available about virtually everything. You only need to move your mouse, sometimes click, and read it.

At least I appreciate that you liked the atmosphere anyway ;-)

Its attempt to be realistic ends up being incompetent. This is a flash turn-based game. how realistic can this get? That's right, not very realistic.
The things like "oopsies" and the attack directions add a complexity that can't really be comprehensible outside of this game.

The game's quite nice but...Do You really want to play as the european conqueror massacrating the indigenous tribes? Really? 'Aztec genocide' would be a better title then.

Thunder-Hawk responds:

Then play the "Aztec defense" campaign!
