So, the plot was that the guy wanted to take her of her just to kill her and make her feel pain? is it a representation about how "death takes care of you"?

I feel like she had cancer or something in her legs, so she cut both of her legs then had harships due of that handicap. People were treating her bad but one alien made the difference. However, preventing death made a shinigami appear in her sleep and told her ``ur time has been extended far to long`` and boom.
