According to Splatoon's (it's a video game) lore, the players are only 14 years old. If you draw cartoon porn/hentai of a 14 year old, it's child porn (which is gross, and I believe is illegal).
True, it's gross. But then those pervy artists then try to depict them as 18 or older in their drawls. '~'

according to the research vids, they only gain the ability to transform into a hominid form at the age of 14, there's no evidence to show they remain at that age, and little distinguishing factoids to give an estimated age otherwise. so until their 'hair' turns a greyish color (assumed) there's no telling just how old they actually are beyond 14

Although, I'm pretty sure the nsfw artists intend for them to be young. Most of the art I've seen sure looks that way.
