Reviews for "Rocket Board Evolution"

Not sure if this is a bug but the proto armor doesn't seem to make any difference, I was killed after bumping into 3 bats, same as it happened with the classic armour.

Overall this is a fairly nice flappy bird like game but, imo, something is off.. maybe the flying 'curve-movement' is too wide compared to the screen size that we don't have enough view to dodge all the obstacles, making the game kind of luck based.
+I barely feel any difference after getting an upgrade that I don't feel like continuing to try all of them.

eivigames responds:

It was indeed a bug. The Proto Armor was receiving half damage from falling red rocks, but full damage from bats. We fixed it.

We also changed momentum, making it easier to change between going up and down. Please try it and let us know what you think about the change.

It's very attractive looking, but with so many elements streaming by, it's sure to give even seasoned gamers plenty of horizontal vertigo! Also, the flying rocks look so diffuse against the background, it's hard to take it into account, while negotiating the other things, like the falling rocks.

Cool game! Game is unnecessary difficult, because man stands :-(

Graphics are a little on the simplistic side and the controls take a little getting used to. The collision detection seems to be off when snagging the green batteries; my character more often then not just flies right thru them, even if I'm perfectly square on their level. A few times I'll miss jewels or rocks the same way, but not nearly as often. And it seems a bit grindy, though at least the end pieces don't seem like they'll take an exceptional amount of time to unlock.

Sound effects and music are pretty decent. An okay effort.

eivigames responds:

Hello. Thanks for the feedback. The collision detection ignores the boards, since in the development version we detected that it provided an unintended disadvantage to the larger boards. Please play the game again focusing only on the character when trying to collect batteries. If the collision detection still doesn't seem right even when considering that, please let us know.

The poor contrast on this really kills it. Half the time you get hit with stuff you don't even know you ran into anything because the objects look near-identical to the background.

Especially on a game where you're going such high speeds as this you need better contrast.

Other than that it's just a basic grind game.
