While the joke of it may be a little aged, you still played it off well. Personally I found it very funny, especially because you used Ash's original voice (Or at least it sounded like that). Plus the animation wasn't really that bad.

Please stop being so hard on yourself. Your video made it on the FRONT PAGE! Do you know how hard that is to do? And if a practice video of yours can make it on the front page, imagine what you could do with the real thing!

People on the internet can be asses. There are many of them out there. They will post negative reviews on your video, some will not have any form of critique on them whatsoever. This will always happen, I've seen it always throughout my many years of newgrounds. These are these people's opinions. Nothing more. While opinions are important, and everyone has a right to it, you don't have to justify yourself to everyone who gives you a negative review.

Thank you so much. This message and the time you took to write this means an awful lot. I guess since I tend to take things to heart, and personally, I feel the need to explain myself. I spose I kinda have to learn to not put the energy in to worrying about it. This has really been a learning experience.

Also by the way I did Ash's voice! hahaha. I was fooling around with a voice and out came a really good Ash impression apparently.....heh.

Style is solid, colouring and animation are all good. It's strange that people are being so negative towards it...

I never did understand why the pokemon magically became loyal after traping them in a ball without any other method of training or discipline instilled into them. I guess it was the sheer misery of being in the ball that breaks them; turning them into complacent retarded drones that are only capable of following orders, and repeating their own name.

Anyway great animation style for a single person project, and for somebody who's just starting out. I think it goes without saying that you have a lot of work you need to do on perspective, anatomy, and frames of animation. However the one immediate thing I think you need to improve upon is creating your own backgrounds. The "real" pictures clash badly with the weirdly exaggerated caricatures, and while your exaggeration on proportions is key to the humor. I find that the extra joints on Ash's arm is closer to a mistake than a properly exaggerated limb.

All around a darkly humorous animation which shows the creator has a lot of room to grow, and expand his craft. Best of luck to you on future projects, and I hope to see more from you.
