Reviews for "Don't Escape 2"

awesome game one of my favorite flash game! keep up the good work.

MOOOOORRRRREEEEE...

Always refreshing to see submissions from Scriptwelder, and this is another solid step forward.

On the upside:
Branching choices - I always love when this is done in the free-form manner instead of locking the player into one of X-number of linear paths. LOVE how there's consequence for everything you do, this adds an excellent immersion factor, which caught me off-guard. What also caught me off-guard is that there are options in place that aren't popular for most moralities, and still work. (No spoilers)

Presentation - Although this could have benefited from more narrative, there was still enough to draw you in as a player and at least somewhat care about your choices. (This is partially thanks to the consequence factor, though) All the same, the ability to interact with Bill characterized him enough to be identified as a person instead of a static figure that gives you text when you hover over it. This was also an unexpected effect for how little there really was in regards to him and his interactions.

Atmosphere - Yet again, this is a completely believable setting. Just enough detail to make the place seem abandoned, but not so worn down as to look like a war zone. Excellent moderation.

On the downside:
I had to sit down and think about this, and all I could come up with is nit-picking about graphics and sound quality. ...This is a Flash game. There's only so much effort that can be reasonably put into it by a single developer or small team, so in the end, it's a moot argument.

Keep 'em coming, Scriptwelder. We want more...

Awesome game. Finding all the bullets was a pain tough. Anyways, keep on the good work.

Reminds me a lot of "I Have One Day" but with multiple endings. I like how in both games you have to really evaluate your time and think about the choices you make

Very well done 2nd installment of Don't Escape. It's a bitch trying to remember how to get so-called "douche-bag" endings without resorting to a walk-through (again!) but other than that, very well done, can't wait to see what's next!

Tip for other players: Go Church - Gas Station - Store - Crash Site and for most of the endings use the car instead of the cart, but I do rec' using the generator at least once!
