animation was cool but the plot needs more explanation
Excellent voice acting and surreal music. Exceptional sound design overall. Plot and/or themes were not coherent, did not hold attention. Art direction was uninteresting, but composition and angles were nice, especially in the town and cooking scene. Poor animation. Overall, the atmosphere seemed to be the main goal, and so this rating won't hold the plot and/or themes accountable. Since the mysterious/forboding atmosphere was quite intense, yet held almost exclusively just by the sound design and actually at times diminished by the art direction, it deserves a 3/5.
For a film project, it was rather disastrous in terms of the visual content. But again, this piece showcased such talented music/sound/voice artists Aliesch, Lauer, and Holzman. I hope Hummel and the other visual/animating artists feel like they've improved in their art in this past 2 years.
