Ok. After playing, I feel that there was a great deal holding this game back. the two biggest issues were plot and gameplay.

Graphically, it's alright. But the constantly slow flash of darkness is just plain annoying. There were a few spots where things killed the character that didn't quite make sense. Controls were alright.
(Spoilers)-I wanted to make this a little fun...
Plot was something that just bothered me from the start.
I saw that you were going for something poetic, a real work of art
That's all fine and good but your poetry was a wreck,
You may want to invest in some sort of spellcheck.
The plot of his wife killing the baby made no frigging sense
she had an alibi that she was with her boyfriend, not at the apartment.
Also a motive was something you overlooked,
You can learn about this in any ol' mystery book.
The babysitter was also a secondary witness to the fathers crime
There is no doubt that they would have testified so the father would get maximum time (That one was hard)

I feel with a bit more practice and some more time spent,
You can make a game on here that rates 100%
Best of luck-Mrccbirdguy

JackAstral responds:

Ahaha fair enough- thanks for giving it a go anyway!

goo game easy chance to get all medals i even found that f*ckin astronaut

JackAstral responds:

Ahaha thanks man!

I don't really understand why the others are giving this such bad notes, the jumping animation is a bit basic (not parabolic like we're used to but whit a quick ascent and slow decent) which can be sometimes annoying, the difficulty of the first levels is correct; the hit box of monsters is a bit too wide, which cumulates with the "triangular-jump" , adding more "unfair" difficulty;
hope this helps you, I liked your game, the light/dark pattern is a good idea but it should be more random (so not a pattern ha ha)

JackAstral responds:

Thanks dude! I'll tighten up the enemy hit tests asap!
