Who is Red? Great game, story etc, i feel like it should of been longer.

I've heard a few different interpretations, but in the story I wrote Red was the boyfriend who crashed the car (accidentally).
It's was fun,and sad overall.
I really didn't get anything of it,when we were playing the game,we were actually racing?
Else,how did Sam get in the hospital bed?
You didn't control the game, you were always going to lose.

Red crashed the car with Sam as the passenger, you simply refused to believe it.
