Reviews for "The Wizard"

Skipping seemed to freeze my game for a few seconds.
It went black mid game, reloading and it's still black. Game is playing but you can't see anything.

HypnoticOwl responds:

What do you mean with skipping? It sounds like the fading didn't work. What kind of browser did you use?
EDIT: Try reloading the game frame: Right-click on the game, Select "This Frame" > "Reload Frame"

"Preparing Ingredients"
Thats all i can see of this game

HypnoticOwl responds:

I assume, you've tried reloading the page and it didn't work. So:
Are you using some kind of script blocking plugin like noscript?
Also which kind of browser are you using? Is it up-to-date?

It would be awesome, if you could help us find the problem. :)

EDIT: If you were using IE, try it again it should be fixed now!

Needs a tutorial. The game is unplayable without one, as there seems to be no way to get through the first door.

I also had no idea what any controls were until I randomly started pressing keys and 'h' brought up the controls menu.

HypnoticOwl responds:

It has a tutorial. You should see the tutorial hints at the bottom right. Except if you start in Master difficulty. But really, if you do that you should know what you're doing :)
They game can be played completely using just the mouse, the keyboard controls are just complementary, that's why they are not listed anywhere. It would be much appreciated if you could take another look at the game and reconsider your rating. Thanks! :)

what is the point of freezing enemies..?

yes they graphically move slower. but they still move the same amount of squares each turn..

and they're only frozen on the turn immediately after the spell. so i can do:

cast damage, then take damage
or
cast freeze, cast damage, then take damage

same result.

a pleasure to blam

HypnoticOwl responds:

Freezing is useful for enemies that can move more than one tile per turn. Freeze them while they are still further away from you, or around corners, and you'll have time to wail on them while they're trying to come close enough to harm you.
