Reviews for "Nekra Psaria"

Excellent Game! Normally i don't like point-and-click games, but this one was actually really good. The map wasn't too big, and you didn't have to go from one end of the map to find something to fix a puzzle. The ambiance was dark and semi-apocalyptic, and as one player said before me, I never knew what to expect. Sewing a man's head back on? Making a tree grow out of a corpse? Each little mission was unique and wonderfully strange, something a lot of 'dark' games lack.

That being said, I would love if Cockroach Boy would make an appearance in the next game!

This is a very fun and very visually interesting point-and-click adventure game. Like another reviewer said, it reminded me of some of those more trippy episode from cartoon anthologies like Liquid Television. The story is relatively simple but executes itself well, and definitely doesn't take itself too seriously, matching the visual mood. The soundtrack is a bit limited on actual compositions, but what's there is appropriately moody and haunting. Sound effects are suitable as well.

Any adventure game lives or dies on its writing, and for a comedy-driven adventurer, this one does very well. Not only was dialog amusing, but actual solutions to puzzles were pretty funny and well-written in their own right, showing some creative spark.

I only have a couple of problems here: one is that the game is too short, and the other is that the puzzles were too easy. Since this is just the first part, the length is probably appropriate: it took me between 15-20 minutes to beat in total (and that involved a little dicking around).

I think the puzzle solutions for next time should be a little more difficult though; I was able to take the "kitchen sink" approach a few times and stumble across solutions to puzzles I wasn't even intending to solve. This cheapened some of the feeling of completing those puzzles. However, you do thankfully avoid the pixel-hunting hell of some classic games (being a Flash game helps in that regard) and no solution felt forced or out-of-the-ordinary.

Overall, a very well put-together, slightly creepy and otherworldly sort of adventure game that definitely has room and a solid foundation to be built upon, with interesting characters, character and visual designs being its strongest point.

Short, but good!

I liked it a lot, but it could have been a little bit more challenging.

Классная игра, обязательно пройду все!
