Reviews for "Car Yard 2"

i cant play the game

i can't play this game in this website but is good

Well, this was pretty thrilling and fun for what it was, both for the fast-response gameplay and the somewhat compelling storyline.

I like the graphical style, cartoony and nice, with a lot of sentient vehicles like cars, helicopters, etc, and the thrilling music that goes with the game. The music is one of the things that made me feel, occasionally, like I was in an action game.

The gameplay itself is, well, fun, but quite restrictive. Your only objective is to click the action icon fast enough, and occasionally guess which of two action icons is the right one to click. Whenever you fail, you're sent back a few steps from your last mistake. The faster your reactions, the better your score in the end of the game. Watching the car go about its fast escape is pretty thrilling, but you don't really control it in a meaningful way.

I call this game "restrictive" because there's no freedom of choice in any instance, you literally have to simply click the right icons so the pre-determined scene takes place, with no replay value and nothing you can try to do differently from the base story. This is the kind of game that is easy to memorize to optimize score, and feels rather dull after the first playthrough.

The story of the game is told without words, only symbols (hearts to represent love, bars to represent prison) and, while it certainly kept the game going, it is never clear why anything that took place in the game happened the way it did, making the story rather silly, empty and unsatisfying.

So yeah, this game is deserving of a 3, I think.

It's a bit cute, but I think the main concept fails a bit. The core of the game, that is click as fast as you can becomes tedious after a quite short time. Graphics and sound is descent, but it feels a bit mass produced.

Fun, but not too interesting.
