Reviews for "#Escape: The Waiting Room"

Good game, simple enough to follow, but the interface is annoying. The "inventory" tab was useless because it would open whenever I moused over the bottom of the screen. I was constantly looking at my items when all I wanted was to move to another area! It might be a little cliche to have arrows or bars or some other navigation tool in Escape games, but they're better than clicking aimlessly trying to look at something and ending up on another screen, or ending up on another screen instead of looking at the thing you click on. Other than that, quite enjoyable. (But really, who puts a space in their own username? That's not even allowed most of the time!)

Aprime responds:

Most of the time, correct. Sometimes it is allowed.
I allowed a space to make it easier for users to get the user name.

As for what you wrote prior to that, I agree!

Good game, easy to follow etc etc
Got most of the medals par four:
Worth a try.
Multi-tasker.
Nag-a-ram.
Determined mother-trucker.

Worth a try to ask for some hints? ;D xD But no, good game, easy if you know how!

Aprime responds:

I shan't post spoilers in the reviews! You can Pm me though xD

Seriously a whitespace in a username?
Kept me trying for minutes until I tried a Whitespace in it.

Other then that short but good and... yes easier "back" clicking would be nice.

Aprime responds:

The game also has the classic back feature like other room escape games... Try it, click the side of the stage and you'll go back.
As for the white space, that has nothing to do with me

Had a glitch where I lost the receipt because I used it and I wasn't close enough then I got close and it was gone.

Aprime responds:

That is unfortunate.

I don't understand how a game this polished and well thought out doesn't have a music mute button. Honestly, the voice acting was good but don't force us to listen to this, frankly annoying, music track if we don't want to. Other than that, very playable. Fun, interesting, just the right level of difficulty. I really like the panoramic side scrolling but I think one of the things that makes it more frustrating to use is the hiding inventory panel, I think you sort of have to pick one: buttons with clear clickable space but a hiding panel or scrolling arrows with all the side space.

Aprime responds:

Scrolling arrows with a side space, surely that wouldn't work. Unless I've misunderstood you...

I'll bare in mind a mute button, but you're the first out of thousands to complain about the music.

Thanks for the review.
