Sharpnova is an absolute &%#$, if you don't mind my implied language.
Personally I found the ending to be similar to two sides of a coin, it's a great trick for comedy, making it all sinister and morbid, strong and powerful at the start and then ending with the opposite of the beginning effect.
It sums up the experience of the gameplay, also, the Art was fantastic, audio was superb and overall I will honestly be more and more confused about how Supernova had such a strong opinion about this.

P.s.
The art style reminds me greatly of "Dethklok".
Cool stuff, but the twist was kinda underwhelming.
Things that bothered me were: (1) that he was covered in blood even though there were only skeletons around, and (2) a single arrow - to the shoulder, not even the knee - took him out.
I haven't played the Souls games, but can a single arrow (from a skeleton) be that devastating?

The idea behind this was that he was quite battle-worn already, the blood was more than likely his own. In that position, a single arrow probably hurts alot.
In the games though, pretty much everything can take you down in a couple or less hits :P
