Reviews for "Royal Offense (Game)"

Good concept and I enjoyed playing it at first. But then I constantly had issues where after a round or two, I would select the mission, select difficulty, and then wind up on some blank grass field with no options. I could hit pause and go back to main map, but then when I tried again it was the same field but now with the menu overlayed on it. I was having to reload the page ever 2-3 rounds... Got pretty irritating so stopped play. Otherwise, decent game and idea.

I gave a better review the first time this game came out... but apart from that, I seem to remember the game being more difficult previously, but that might be from remembering 'majesty.' gameplay was too easy, even on hard. I got all the achievements without having leveled up all my upgrades, and the game is already at the point where I can win any level in any fashion...it looks like it's supposed to keep going.

There is really no strategy, very easy and slow paced. The graphics are good and the upgrade system is ok but these things can never make up for the lack of solid gameplay.

I said once for the previous release and again for this one. FIX RANGED COMBAT, it happens a lot with these RTS games, a collection of ranged units will always win! No skill or strategy needed, any level or difficulty, filling your ranks with pure ranged units is the simple answer. It's an exploit that could be fixed by simply adding enemies that have damage reduction or balancing their Hp to survive a ranged onslaught. By forcing your player to balance a mix of units could actually be called a game with strategy in it, but until then this RTS is just an RTW, a REAL TIME WASTER!!

This... this is dumb. There is no strategy, no tactics, no effort. The population cap doesn't actually seem to show anything relevant given I always seemed to have 12/11 or some such, tax collectors are so efficient at their jobs that by the time they reach rank 2 I sacrifice them to the enemies just to free up more room for my idiot soldiers.
