Reviews for "Chip 'n' Swing"

Butterscotch.

It turns out I forgot to leave a review for this earlier. Time to fix that mistake.

Everything sounds great to me! I love the rhythms, the melodies, and the progressions. The intruments are wonderful too. This would work perfectly in some games (which is not a big surprise, as you've made music for a game before).
This actually reminds me some of "A Weirdo's Gigue", made by Steampianist. That's a good thing ;)

Great job, and good luck!!! :D

Yahtzei responds:

Thank you very much! :D and also thanks for telling me about "A Weirdo's Gigue". I just listened to it about six times in a row :D it's so friggin' awesome! Good luck to you too, LSD ^^

Damn I missed your submission... You were quite early here. This is for sure the most catchy track I heard at the NGADM so far! Good luck here!

kinda bad chip sounds :( actually reminds me of gxscc haha
the composition is really really nice tho. arpeggiate those chords maybe? nice stuff :)

Yahtzei responds:

Haha, guess what xD I used GXSCC. I know that's something of a crime in the ol' chiptune community, but I can't *quite* be bothered to learn all the intricacies of Famitracker just yet. Still, thanks for the review, man :) I've seen quite a few of your reviews on other people's work, so I know that, at the very least, you're honest. I'm glad you liked the composition, though ^^ with decent composition, I can always work on the sound quality later. Thanks again and good luck!

Oh my... This stuff is top notch. Melodic wise this is sick! Super catchy chiptune at its best. Especially after around 1:35... Shieet, so good <3! Now I should go back and try to finish my piece because I have hard times finishing stuff, as usual. (:

Yahtzei responds:

Thank you! :D catchy must be a good thing, right? ^^ all the best things in the world are catchy. With obvious exceptions... still, I doubt ebola or the plague could win NGADM on catchiness alone.

Good luck finishing your piece, man :) I look forward to hearing it.
