RhythmGameNation responds:

Awsome thank! Be sure to check out my site, there are already 2 new track by user! I know it's not much but I'm super excited anyway. I got 30 hit from the Philipine 0_o !

good game but needs some improvement

RhythmGameNation responds:

Definitly!
Graphic wise I could only afford to buy some pre-made assets, on my site there is donate button that I hope will help me get enought money to pay for professional work.

The track are somewhat basic since I suck at making them, that's partly why I work so hard on the whole player generating track feature. I should improve as a make more track and hopefully better one will come that I will update the demo.

I will try to improve on smoothing the play phase but there is only so much you can do with working with sound in Flash while live stream videos.

If anybody has any suggestions on making the game better I would like to hear them. I plan on updating the game for a while before I move to my next project.

Actually a nice rhythm game. It's a bit of a shame that it has such a small library (of mostly video game covers) but their good ones,(or joke ones) at least. Clearly could use some improvement from a fanbase of dedicated players to put songs together for it. I don't usually pay to much attention to the graphics in a rhythm game but having the videos play alongside that notebar is a pretty nice feature, albeit distracting. One question I have is whether you have to upload a song of your own making/arrangement or a cover of yourself playing an already existing song? I can't really tell which you used or if you just received permission to use those songs.
End result, good concept, good execution, but needs more content to be great.

RhythmGameNation responds:

The whole idea is that when you make a track you only upload a link to the youtube video. The video you see while playing is basically a web page opened within the game. The only thing I store is the address of the video, a list of notes and some other info for filtering. The video receives a view each time it's played and I also included a button in the result screen that open the page so players can explore more stuff from the video author.

Since making a track affect in no way the original content I say its up to the player to notify/request permission the author. I suggest leaving a message explaining what the game is and what is the track ID so that if they want content remove they can just send me a mail so I can remove it for them.

Yeah I will try to add more stuff, notably a more simple song since many people pointed out how hard the very first track is. I though 5 tracks would be enough for a demo version but I might bump it up to ten. I need people to go to the website since the track building and uploading can only work on my website for technical reason.

Thank for commenting

I find it decent. its hard at first but, if you keep playing for hours and hours, eventually you will master it on all levels.

RhythmGameNation responds:

Glad you likeed it. Some people made easier song on the website. I did not make any new song in a while since I just moved out and got my laptop stolen on my first day back to work :(

Took several hours to load, still loading as I write this review.

RhythmGameNation responds:

Wow. True the game is a bit big but it should not take that long. What is your browser?
