I would like Mister Lucid to take his own advice and look into a mirror.

You defend this due to your stance on this issue and nothing else. And to swat your little argument in the butt, if you don't support people using animals to fight, are you an animalphobe?

Not supporting something and being afraid of it are two very different things.

So let's actually do that. The animation is... sloppy and there isn't any real humor or plot, it's just an ad that you would see on YouTube. Spinning words and pictures, hoping that you're too afraid to give it a low score based on it's subject matter like Mister shadow Dreamer down there.

I.E. I have a forward about how my grandpa died and my animation is a tribute to him, and then the animation is just a pile of poop, there are many who would still rate it highly due to feeling bad about giving something "personal" a low score.

Wow, I didn't realize we had so many homophobes and unfair voters at Newgrounds. I knew they existed, but this video really made them show their faces. Honestly, I would only give this 3.5 points normally. This is since I've seen much better in regards of animation, music, and portraying in general. Still, if you get this many 0-votes without including anything offensive or blam worthy, you know you've done a good job, for which I give you one extra star.

Also, you people claiming not to be against LGBTQ+ people but who don't like the message of the video... Wut? You can't say "I'm not a homophobe or anything.. But whenever I hear a positive word about gay people it's just an agenda". Take a while and look at yourself in the mirror o.O
Sadly, I'm quite sure the only thing you would see is your reflection, since you're really that shallow.

So what if this is a popular opinion in 2014? What, are you all hipsters or something? Omg, the LGBT was soooooooo last year. Come on. The mere fact that people are giving this so many zero stars shows that it was worth making. Other "popular" opinions wouldn't be bashed at nearly as hard. And don't pretend there aren't still people out there that should hear this. Take a look at countries like Iran or Uganda...

Still, I don't think this video brings its message through to people as powerfully as it could. But I can spot potential, so I'm sure if you keep doing stuff you'll get really good, eventually.

The message is good, but I don't think this is a good way of sharing that message with the world. It's lacking in a lot of things: animation, voices, storyline, music. The words you had flapping all over the place also were missing their point and got annoying.
It's a good message, but not a good way of sharing this message.

Strong messages...

Are always subjects to haters.
People are affrayed of what they don't / can't understand, don't let them say " hey, that sucks, fag !".
You should go on, as we need people like you to make things evolve, and as with this society it becomes worst and worst.

I can't give you a 5 because the animation wasn't that good, and it was a bit boring.

( To haters that thinks I'm gay and so I don't have a "neutral" point of view : I'm straight, I have a girlfriend and I don't have any gay friends. )

Man, this was fucking gay.

The animation is shit tier, sorry. Even people who animate lock faces on inanimate objects can do a better job than this. Five years ago this would have gotten you laughed off the website. Now it's front page? Fuck this site has gone down the shitter.

WOW a pro-LGBT video? So fucking progressive and unique. No one has THOSE opinions in the year 2014. Videos like this just reek of the author manipulating people for their personal gratification. "Look at me, I'm ACCEPTING the gays! Aren't I rare and unique?" No. No you're not. If you want to be special then join the fucking KKK or become a communist. That will get you more attention, trust me.

Back to the actual content review: the animation is pretty non-existent and the animation that takes place is incredibly bland. The art really isn't that great; it looks blobby and weirdly lifeless. A majority of the video is just writing over a slowly moving image.

Music is annoying and stock, no big deal.

Voices... yeah whatever. Pretty average for this kind of thing.

The best part about pro-homosexual videos is you can ALWAYS tell the author has an agenda, whether it's attention for themselves or some sort of dumb fetish. Most of the time it's both. Gay men are not your pets and will not be your best friend like in Will & Grace.

I would accept all comments except one, that being that I have an agenda. Firstly, let me state that this is a University project and was not intended for my own personal gain in any way.
Secondly, I do not want a "gay best friend" as I think that stereotype is outlived, and quite frankly boring.
And lastly, yes, a pro LGBT video. Because despite the fact that most people these days aren't homophobic, there is still a huge gap in the majority's understanding.
