Good after it got removed on the app store
It's not that bad (at least for me). Better than paying for a smartphone with the game for a ridiculous price. I have never played this game on a smartphone before, and haven't heard of it until a friend of mine told me the creator was taking it down.
Yes, the game can be frustrating, yet it's so damn addicting. XD I have my own strategy on how to avoid hitting the pipes. It's hard to explain, but I do this by not clicking more than once when between them and stay close to a ground pipe, but not too close to lose, and judge my distance.
Flappy bird wasn't the first game I've ever played that's ever fallen under the avoid gamplay genre with something built like this, and for me, it's not that different from earlier games like this I've played.
Are the graphics and sound a rip-off of the Mario games (most notably the pipes)? Yeah, but then again, I don't really care that much. After each crash though, I notice that the sound audio glitches everytime you lose. Whenever the sound effect for flying plays and after you die the first time and play again, it overlaps and so on, thus making it rather unpleasantly and noticably louder and louder. The submit button doesn't really any purpose too.
Overall, however, it's a nice, online version of the infamous game. Sure, it may have it's problems, but it's well-made, and although the original, smartphone version is gone, we can at least have this. :)
P.S. My highest score (currently) is a 28 (minimum to get a silver medal is 20).
