Ok, I got to 6th level and stopped there (after I almost completed it) and I see a few similarities with Sewer World (mainly reused death animation :D).
The main problem of the game is the controls. I don't have problem with throwing bombs and I got used to bomb jump too but problem is the movement.
There are 2 speeds:
1. I couldn't jump over that slug (aka too slow)
2. I ran into red water (aka too fast)
But even worse is that once you let go movement button, RedMan imidiately stops, even in air. And these two issues caused about 80% of my deaths. It looks like there was an attempt to create a bit realistic movement, that you have to run a while until you get to full speed, but that quick movement stoping doesn't make any sense. Quick running makes you overshoot the jump and once you let go the arrow, you stop and undershoot it.
Level design reminded me of Sewer World too. Bouncing fireballs vs black rectangles of death. At least here you can destroy that projectiles and there is not so many of them. On the other hand, when you turn the first fireball to ghost there is already a second one bouncing towards you. And also in Sewer World I could move much better.
I got the biggest problem with those fireballs in the level where there is fire and laser under it. In the end I let laser to hit me so I got on the other side of it.
Which remindes me of recovery time, that which I got when I played (0,5 s) was just enough for fireball to rob me of my coins, kick me in the air and bounce into me when I was falling down.
The only thing which saves this game is interesting world, good music and people who likes truly challenging platformers.
