It was good, but i thought there would be some advantage to pushing both east and west and it turns out that it didn't really matter other than more places to build. Also, there was little reason to do more than spamming spearmen with some mages and catapults in the back that won't just get killed. Building horsemen and swordsmen seemed a waste of resources given how quick they die.

Great game, simple controls, but very fun. Buggy at times. I emptied an iron mine and got stone instead of iron, so now i can't finish the tutorial. I don't want to skip, because I don't know what that will launch me into.
