Reviews for "You Only Need One"

This game was short as all hell, had annoying music, and an even more annoying hammered in "message" that all indie games need these days, although the message is handled EXTREMELY poorly, being yourself doesn't usually mean that there are 2 groups that either like you or hate you, it is more complicated then that, and being a puppet that can't talk to anyone doesn't help either.

Overall a bad game that needed more effort, but at the very least it wasn't a complete insult to my intelligence, only partially, and that's why I'll give it a star. Just try a little harder next time.

This game scares the crap out of me. The message about being different... is it supposed to be taken here at face value, or as a parody? As if accepting one's own difference and coming to terms with it is a farce.

I can't even think with this music, which is highly catchy bu also unnerving, unsettling... and just down right inappropriate for this game! Maybe the music is warping my perception of this game. Like the music, there's something awful... disgusting even... with the message. And unfortunately, this feeling carries over to my experience with the game as a whole. A bit sick.

LTPATS responds:

As a designer, I am really happy that my game elicited such a strong reaction in you. As a person, I am sorry for the discomfort is has caused you. For the record, I did not intend it to be a parody, I simply wanted something bizarre enough to draw attention to the message.

If you would like to know more about the theory behind the music, feel free to reference this post on the game I wrote shortly after its release:
