Please, Please, could you PLEASE add a SAVEGAME resource or "resume from last floor"?
I guess it's addictive because it's so frustrating! I keep coming back to the game and OWWWWWw, there I go, I lose again.
PLEASE, I wanna play it for hours, not just a few minutes and die ;)
Really fun game, no idea why everyone claims you need some 4 hit shield to win. Necromancers are easy if you take into the fact enemies can chase past doors or corners and you just lure them around one and fight enemies one on one. In fact you don't even need a good shield or maximized weapons to beat this game consistently. Just raise speed every time you level and use a Vampiric Hammer. With speed you get more hits in meaning more health and you reduce the enemies AP. Once you get 4-5 speed enemies can't even fight back. If your taking spell damage you can easily outrun and heal because of all the AP you have. The slower Ogres and Trolls become ridiculously easy with their incredibly low AP. The fast Orc's are also very easy. They're melee so they try to close the distance, so just figure out how much AP they have and position yourself that far away such as 2 spaces away if they have 3 AP. That way they spend 2 getting to you and they spend 1 AP hitting your shield and you just bash away them into death and restoring any lost health. If you are truly desperate you can even save barrels and boxes for HP, if you power attack those you get health.
I rarely leave reviews but I just wanted to tell you that this is a terrific game. It's well balanced, carefully thought out, challenging but not impossible, replayable, well designed, and fun. I can imagine how much work and care went into it. Congrats for putting something like this together!
Just a bit too much depending on sheer luck. It is impossible to win against the orcs without decent equipment. The 4 hit shield is essentiel. I also don't understand why most of the times the items dropped have to be the worst ones, like the normal shield and weapons. Since you can't sell them at a store and they are all identical, I don't see the point. Just don't drop anything instead.
Otherwise, all I can say is: I keep coming back to this game.
I really hope for an improved version or sequel, since it is quite enjoyable (and addicting).
Awesome game! The only problem I found was that when a weapon were on top of a symbol or other scenario with description, I could only inspect the weapon.
The only thing you could add, in my opinion is in-depth gameplay and story.
