A lot of nostalgia here. You captured the feeling of the characters very well. This brings me back to my childhood.
Love everything here, specially the way you did the reflections on the eyes ,but the white letterboxing is not working that well cause you can mostly only see the upper part, making it look like some weird empty space.
maybe if it was black or some other color, not sure.

As for Yaridovich, he is vulnerable to electricity, so Mallow's Shocker is your best weapon. Also, Yaridovich has a low FP pool for a boss, so if all else fails, just have Peach use Group Hug every turn until Yaridovich has no more FP, then beat him to death.
