The levels are better than most games like this, the graphics are great, the music is cool, but the forced camera is such a pain, especially with no way to manually scan the level. Trying to click moving objects is tough without oversized hitboxes, so it takes multiple tries even though you know exactly what to do. It also ticked me off from the start that this was marked as platformer instead of Puzzle - Falling.

If I make a real game out of this Ill definitely be adding a pannable camera/pregame cutscene that will show points of interest. I didnt see falling puzzle as an option but ill fix that right away

Ok, care to expand? The game upset you, are you perhaps a skeleton who feels that skeletons were misrepresented in this depiction?

The game was quite nice. Not really original but that doesn't really matter if game is done well as in this case. I liked the concept. While I know you did this in a week, here is few suggestions to improve the game:

* Music loop could be longer, it gets really repetitive after a while.
* Screaming sound's quality is a bit bad. Might be just my opinion though.
* Menus could use some small animations. For example when I complete the level, I see the skull falling. It would have been nice touch if it had fallen to the neck of the skeleton in the score screen :)
* Like already mentioned, speeding things up might be a good idea.
* Gameplay wise I would have liked to see the whole level before hand to plan things out.

Hope this review doesn't feel too negative! I think you did a decent job especially considering the time and prototypes are not meant to be perfect anyway :)

Nah this review is pretty balanced, it is appreciated in fact.

Admitedly in spite of not having this ready for halloween some aspects were rushed to try and meet that deadline. The musician I usually commission for audio is MIA for the time being so I just used a loop I found on the audio portal, I agree it could be longer :)

I worked out a script that can show points of interest on a given map. So I will put yours along with the other suggestions to work in future games.

Couldnt say, havent played it, You know just because there are games with similar mechanics, doesnt make it a knock off, sides, how many jetpack joyride, and other ripoffs do you see on here?
If I tiptoed around worried about games that already exist with similar concepts, Id probably get nothing done :P

I really dunno if its appropriate to call faul on what I basically made as an experiment lol
Next time try to provide some more constructive feedback please. I cant really build from this 'review' This is more of a comment, but essentially in order to address your point, all I could do is meticulously view all existing games and try to avoid copying.

Fun game and an interesting approach to this type of game.

As mentioned, I would speed things up a bit. Waiting for even 3 second animations is so time consuming for trial and error video games.

And scrolling is a must have.
