Reviews for "Dragonball RPG episode 1"

I love it!! Dbz and mario mixed is pretty good man. Just one thing that could make this more exciting which is why im not giving 5 stars. Try to make the shy guys actually *Attack* because u get hit from them when u just come near them. Thats all :). Besides that... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

it was good but i wish every bad guy died in one hit.
please fix this in the next episode

Gotta love the super mario sound effects when you die! Amongst other things. The controls are easy to grasp, and the combination of games worked way better than I expected, just wandering around and seeing how the SMB universe will surprise Goku makes the adventure a rewarding process. It's a fun venture, with a good plot to back it up (though the cutscene dialogs are probably the only thing that doesn't look very professional, odd color combo). Haven't played this to the end, but I will; will keep an eye out for the next one! One thing I'd love to see in this game are medals though, at least just the one for completing the whole thing. It'd be irrefutable evidence of success. :) Keep it going!

SuperPottara responds:

Thank you,

And I'd love to add medals to the game, but I don't really know how to do that. I have read some of it in the information tab of Newgrounds, but I could not understand it. If anyone has any ideas how to add medals, send me a private message and maybe it will be in the next episode.

I will gladly appreciate it.

this is more of a fighter than a role playing game but since this is a dragon ball so i forgive them for that i don't like that there are no checkpoints and one of the tags is mario but here is the thing this is more like yoshi and the enemy quantity is only one thing shy guys and i would like for the coins to respond if you are making a second one and if you are can you please make goku have a few more moves

Great mixture of a Sonic game plus a little bit of Mario and of course Dragon Ball!
The game is pretty smooth, the controls work fine and i found no obvious bugs.
I really love the SFX when you hit either A,S or D and when he dies, well played!
Now the bad parts:
-Maybe i am missing an important piece, but while the A and S button might add some variability to the game they seem pointless since the D hits further at no additional cost;
-In a game with so many SFX it feels really empty when um jump and no SFX at all comes out;
-Checkpoints? Sometimes i am trying to complete the mission as fast as i can and fall on a whole close to the end it is really anoying having to start all over;
-The music in mission 3 clips quite a bit;

Overall great little game, suits the Sonic fans pretty well and brings some nostalgia back to DB and Mario fans.
