Some of the levels were just annoying in their difficulty (sand level, I am looking at you) Also, several were too long, especially without some kind of checkpoint system. Screwy difficulty is a lot easier to take if it is easy to get back on the horse. Some of the gotcha's just felt mean.
Still, did I have fun? Largely yes. Except the sand level, I would say I had fun in all the levels, though sometimes I just wanted to scream. The second to last level in either super garlic or regular mode was very, very tricky, yet it felt satisfying once I got the pattern down.
One thing I didn't like is, with some exceptions, I largely felt like it was more a case of guessing what the developer was thinking as opposed to using the tools at hand to solve the problems. A fine distinction but a valid one I think. Still, as I said, fun was had.
While the graphics were simplistic, they did the job and were well unified in their aesthetic.
There was also nice little touches that showed an excellent attention to detail. The sound effects were nice, varied, and nicely balanced, not too loud or too soft, and I love the music in the actual levels. Any idea where I can find that?
So, all in all, good job and here's hoping for your next game.
