A tad strange.. this is quite disappointing for your usual games.. the story and the characters seem interesting enough, though it's framing kind of reminded me of the beginning of the Lord of the Rings. but why zero gameplay? I understand this is just a short demo but the least you could have done is insert some gameplay feature other than walking and talking, especially if it's an RPG. Also, using pixel art from other games ruined it a bit for me...

For something clearly made with RPGMaker, this seems pretty weak. I'm no stranger to the software, and I can say that this seems like it was made over the course of a weekend. If you want people to donate to make this an actual game, here is my advice:
Abandon RPGMaker. There is way better ways to make a game.
Don't be afraid of spending a few weeks developing the story and dialogue. RPGs are all about the story, and this lacked almost all sense of introduction and seemed rushed and needlessly hurried forward without details.
Find a good hook for your game, something that makes it stand out, even if only a little. Having the same old tired mechanics won't get anyone to play it, even if the story is new-ish.

give us something more to do then walking around and talking to people there is nothing in this game to grab anyone's interest.

if walking around is the games core gameplay then you need some other mechanics. if it's battle like a expect then program a fight or three and show off what it might be like I know story is Lorestrome's strong point but that will only take you so far.

Sorry but I brather see gameplay before I would donate to something. This is nothing but an interactive Visual Novel. The female knight edge was probably the only interesting thing about the story. Aside from that, the story was all over the place with a clusterfuck of characters. The existence of elves being random and apparantly druids with a Haitian accent.

I may like what you have so far, but demos (especially such a short and incomplete one) are generally unwelcome. You gave me absolutely no sense of what type of game it will be. If it is nothing but walking around talking to people, then it will be a very poor game indeed. Give us a sense of the systems you plan to use, whether it be combat, skills, inventory, whatever. This is less than a demo, this is barely a teaser trailer.
